Overview

Maison Brummell Majorelle is a design house built from scratch over three years, facing the famous Majorelle Gardens. Conceived by architects Bergendy Cooke and Amine Abouraoui for Austrian hotelier Christian Schallert, it’s a boutique retreat for up to 16 guests — a place where high-end design, bespoke furniture, and a quality finish come together, complete with its own hammam, steam bath, and heated plunge pool.

The Challenge

Unlike a historic Riad, this is a modern new-build — its story is one of considered design rather than centuries of patina. The task was to capture that intentionality: the craftsmanship, the material detail, and the calm, homely atmosphere that makes it a place to unwind from the hectic Medina hours.

The Approach

The film leans on texture and detail over scale — poured terrazzo meeting artisan tadelakt, handcrafted wood and brass, the play of light through design-classic lamps. Paced as a guest settling in, moving from the Moroccan kitchen and fireside sofas down to the hammam and plunge pool. Grounded in its neighbourhood: quiet, green, and moments from Majorelle.
